Who We Are

Since 2015, we have been passionately restoring coral reefs in Karimunjawa, growing into 6 coral nursery sites and restoring more than 10,000 corals in the ocean. In March 2024, we expanded our work through partnerships as a foundation, driven by a mission to spread ocean restoration awareness to even more people.

Individual Coral Adopter

Trilogy Ocean Restoration is a marine conservation initiative based in Karimunjawa, Indonesia, focused on coral reef restoration and sustainable ocean experiences.

We collaborate with dive operators, travel agents, and organizations to develop coral restoration programs, conservation dive activities, and marine education experiences. Our services include coral adoption programs, coral planting experiences for divers, corporate CSR partnerships, and marine ecology courses.

By combining reef restoration with responsible tourism, we create opportunities for partners to contribute directly to ocean conservation while exploring the rich marine biodiversity of Karimunjawa.

Before Restoration (Coral Bleaching)

After Restoration Program

While working in coral restoration, we realized that many planted corals fail to survive long-term. This led us to develop a different approach focused on resilient “Super Corals,” long-term monitoring, and restoration methods designed for lasting reef recovery.

Our Coral Restoration Highlights

From islands to resorts, TOR has established 6 coral nursery sites across Karimunjawa, expanding reef recovery through collaboration and long-term care.

Sintok Island Coral Restoration

Started in April 2025, the Pulau Sintok project was designed to support reef recovery through coral transplantation, regular monitoring, and adaptive long-term care. Using locally selected branching coral fragments placed on stable underwater rack structures, the project focuses on restoration that can grow and endure.

Alam Kita Retreat Coral Restoration

The Alam Kita Restoration Project is a collaboration between and Alam Kita Retreat, an eco-conscious resort in Karimunjawa that supports coral reef restoration and marine ecosystem recovery while promoting sustainable tourism and a deeper connection with the ocean.
